The husband and wife team of Jim and Gerri Boyd founded the business in 1970, trading as Jim Boyd's Carpet World in the Baltimore MD area. In 1998, the company moved to their current modern 11,500 sq. ft. showroom and warehouse in Timonium, MD offering sales and installation for a wide selection of quality carpeting, area rugs, hardwood flooring, laminates, vinyl and ceramic.tile
In 1999, we joined the national buying co-op Flooring America. This
affiliation provided our customers with an even greater selection of flooring,
more competitive pricing and extended warranties.
Our carpet & flooring store serves the needs of both residential homeowners and business customers, including many interior designers, interior decorators and home builders. One factor setting the company apart is their strong emphasis on superior customers service. Jim Boyd's business philosophy is based upon treating customers and employees with the utmost consideration.
Jim Boyd is frequently seen on the sales floor assisting customers. Jim states: "We're like a family here. From our installers to our warehouse people to our sales team to our office staff; we like to hug our customers."
